Frequently asked questions
Which Google Contact tags does MyCal recognize?
The exact tags are MyCal VIP, Do Not Schedule, MyCal 1 per Week, MyCal 1 per 2 Weeks, MyCal 1 per 3 Weeks, and MyCal 1 per 4 Weeks. Tag names are matched without regard to capitalization after surrounding spaces are removed.
How do the booking-frequency tags work?
The selected cadence is a rolling interval from the contact’s latest confirmed MyCal appointment with that host. Cancelled appointments do not count, and a rescheduled appointment uses its new date.
What happens if a contact has multiple MyCal tags?
Do Not Schedule always wins. VIP does not bypass a cadence limit, and when several cadence tags are present MyCal applies the longest interval.
Does MyCal upload my full Google or Microsoft address book?
No. Provider sync reads contact email fields to create private match values, then discards readable email addresses and does not retain names, phone numbers, postal addresses, or contact notes.
Can MyCal import my Calendly contacts?
Yes. Export Contacts from Calendly and upload the CSV from the host Contacts page. MyCal encrypts every supplied field, preserves Calendly’s last and next meeting dates plus extra columns, updates duplicate email addresses, and makes the records browsable only to that signed-in host.
Does a Calendly import change Google and Microsoft contact privacy?
No. Google and Microsoft sync remains one-way and non-browsable. A Calendly CSV is stored as readable encrypted contact data only because the host explicitly uploads that export.
Can I delete synced contact match data?
Yes. Hosts can refresh or purge the imported match values without deleting or changing contacts in Google or Microsoft.
Does a contact match override a block?
No. Address and domain blocks take priority over contact recognition and elevated relationship access.
